Talent Acquisition & Workforce Partnership Specialist + Travel + Nebraska

If you love recruiting but want to do more than post jobs, screen resumes, and fill openings, this could be a refreshing next step. This role gives you the opportunity to get out into the community, build relationships with colleges and professional programs, develop new talent pipelines, and help shape the long-term workforce strategy for a rural healthcare organization.

Our client is looking for an outgoing, resourceful relationship builder who enjoys connecting with people and isn’t afraid to “pound the pavement.” You’ll have significant ownership of recruiting while also creating partnerships that can produce talent for years to come.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle, from sourcing and candidate engagement through offers and onboarding.
  • Recruit across a variety of positions, including clinical, provider, leadership, and business roles.
  • Develop creative sourcing strategies and proactively engage passive candidates.
  • Build relationships with colleges, universities, nursing programs, healthcare training programs, and other educational partners throughout the region.
  • Attend career fairs, networking events, professional programs, and community events to develop new sources of talent.
  • Create pipelines for both immediate openings and future workforce needs.
  • Explore opportunities for internships, clinical rotations, externships, and other student programs.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand staffing priorities and upcoming workforce needs.
  • Help candidates understand the professional opportunities, lifestyle, and community impact that come with a career in rural healthcare.
  • Support employer branding, community outreach, and other initiatives that strengthen the organization's presence in the talent market.
  • Track recruiting activity and results to identify what’s working and where new approaches are needed.

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, workforce development, business development, sales, community relations, or a similar relationship-driven role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and build professional partnerships.
  • Strong communication and networking skills with the confidence to represent an organization externally.
  • Strong organization and follow-through with the ability to manage multiple searches and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of results.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the region.

Nice to Have

  • Healthcare recruiting or healthcare industry experience.
  • Previous involvement with colleges, universities, career services, or workforce development programs.
  • An understanding of rural communities or rural healthcare.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems and other recruiting technology.

If you’re energized by recruiting, relationship building, and the opportunity to help strengthen the healthcare workforce of an entire community, we’d love to connect.
