Household Manager + Part-Time + Omaha
If you’re the kind of person who notices what needs fixing before it becomes a problem, loves creating order out of chaos, and can be trusted with absolute discretion, this could be a great fit. A private residence is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Household Manager to support day-to-day home operations and handle the logistics that keep everything moving smoothly.
This is a part-time position, averaging 10–15 hours per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 10 hours. Most work will take place during traditional weekday hours, though occasional evenings or weekends may be needed if an unexpected issue arises.
What You’ll Be Doing
Keeping the Household Running Smoothly
- Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs or potential issues
- Maintain organized systems, schedules, checklists, and household procedures
- Track household inventory and ensure essentials are stocked
Vendor & Service Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate vendors (cleaning, landscaping, maintenance, repairs, deliveries)
- Obtain quotes, confirm appointments, and oversee work when needed
- Maintain a vendor contact list and service calendar
Errands & Home Support
- Handle grocery runs, dry cleaning, returns, and other household errands
- Manage deliveries and ensure items are properly received and organized
- Assist with home preparation before and after homeowner travel
Travel Coverage & Home Monitoring
- Oversee the home while owners are away, monitoring for issues and coordinating repairs
- Ensure the property remains secure, maintained, and ready at all times
- Provide updates to homeowners as requested
Administrative & Household Logistics
- Track vehicle-related needs such as registrations and renewals
- Assist with insurance documentation and deadlines
- Maintain organized household records and service history
What They’re Looking For
- Experience supporting a private home or high-functioning household preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working independently and anticipating needs
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to complete a drug screen and sign a confidentiality agreement
