Senior Project Accountant + Construction + Omaha

This is a high-impact role with our client supporting large-scale construction and service projects where accuracy, urgency, and collaboration all matter.

You won’t be stuck in a silo here. You’ll work closely with project managers, operations, and leadership to ensure the financial side of each job is dialed in from start to finish.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Own project-level financials including job costing and WIP tracking
• Support month-end close with a focus on project accuracy and reporting
• Partner with Project Managers to monitor budgets, costs, and performance
• Assist with audit preparation and documentation
• Analyze project financials and identify discrepancies or risks
• Help drive process improvements across accounting and project workflows

What They’re Looking For

Must-Have:

• Experience with job costing and/or WIP accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and close processes
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and project teams
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, direct environment (you’ll need a bit of grit)

Nice to Have:

• Background in construction or project-based accounting
• Experience partnering with Project Managers or field teams
