We’re partnering with our client, a well-established Omaha firm looking to bring on an experienced Tax Accountant to jump in immediately and make an impact through the April 15th deadline (with potential to extend). This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working with both individuals and business clients, values autonomy, and can hit the ground running.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and review individual tax returns (1040s) with accuracy and efficiency
- Assist with business returns (1065, 1120, 1120S) as needed
- Develop tax projections and support planning conversations with clients
- Work directly with individuals and business owners to navigate tax scenarios
- Maintain clean, organized documentation and workpapers
- Stay on top of current tax laws and identify opportunities for clients
What They’re Looking For
- Strong experience preparing 1040s (non-negotiable)
- Exposure to business returns is a big plus
- CPA or EA preferred
- 3+ years of tax experience in public accounting or similar environment
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset
