What You’ll Do
In this role with our client, you’ll serve as a key partner to the Area Controller, ensuring financial accuracy, driving reporting excellence, and supporting operational teams. You’ll be the go-to resource for digging into the details, improving processes, and helping guide smarter business decisions.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
- Provide variance analysis and performance insights to leadership.
General Ledger Ownership
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure accurate, GAAP-compliant entries and account reconciliations.
- Oversee journal entries and support process integrity.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist with annual budget development and ongoing forecasting.
- Identify trends and provide recommendations to support planning.
Audit, Compliance & Controls
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Evaluate and streamline accounting workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting team members.
What You Need to Bring
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
Preferred Experience
- Background supporting blue-collar, construction, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
- CPA, CMA, or related certification.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with data analytics tools is a plus.
