Join a local firm with a national reputation: Lutz has been consistently named one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work for! Lutz was born and raised in Omaha and has since expanded into Lincoln and Grand Island. From ping pong tournaments to air hockey tournaments, we are known for having fun in addition to working hard. We like to whistle while we work! If you like any of the following, Lutz may be the place for you: challenging work, card games, client interaction, and/or variety!

We are currently seeking students to take part in our Busy Season 2027 or 2028 internship program at our Grand Island office. Lutz internships offer students the opportunity to explore different career paths, work on meaningful client assignments, interact with firm partners, managers, and staff, participate in office meetings and social events, and gain an inside look into our unique firm culture.

If you like to dive in deep, then consider our Busy Season Internships, where you will become familiar with how a public accounting firm operates during the thick of tax season. From a tax perspective, training involves learning our tax approach and software to gain experience preparing both individual and corporate tax returns. At this time, we are seeking students with the availability to work 25 to 40 hours/week during the January-April 2027 or 2028 timeframe.

All interns will get to experience Lutz’s award-winning culture!

We are seeking candidates with the following requirements/skills:

• Strong academic credentials with a minimum GPA of 3.0

• Relevant work experience, including summer positions and/or school jobs

• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

To be considered for a personal interview, please indicate your hours availability (e.g., 40 hours/week) on your resume or cover letter. In addition, we ask that you include your GPA, e-mail address, anticipated graduation date, and plans for the 150-hour requirement.
