Construction Project Manager + Excavation Focus + Omaha 

If you’re the kind of Project Manager who prefers boots on the ground over sitting behind a desk, this one’s for you. Our client, a well-established, family-owned construction company that’s deeply rooted in heavy civil and excavation work—especially large, complex data center projects is looking for a hands-on Construction Project Manager who can run work in the field, collaborate closely with superintendents and subcontractors, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves when the job demands it. 

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Overseeing civil and excavation projects from kickoff through completion 
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, field leadership, and subcontractors 
• Coordinating schedules, budgets, materials, and manpower 
• Partnering closely with the on-site Superintendent to keep work moving efficiently 
• Jumping in where needed—this is a collaborative, no-ego environment 
• Leveraging technology and construction software to stay organized and informed 

What They’re Looking For 

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field 
• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager 
• Strong background in civil construction or excavation (utility work, major building projects, government contracts, or similar) 
• Comfort working on large, fast-moving job sites 
• Experience with construction technology such as Bluebeam, B2W, Spectrum, Excel, or estimating software 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
