Marketing Brand Manager + Sports Industry + Omaha (1099 Contractor)


What started as a small mission to protect athletes has evolved into a nationally recognized sports brand — now featured in major retailers and trusted by athletes across the country.

With a growing team, this company continues to expand its footprint in the sports world with attitude, energy, and innovation. We’re looking for a Marketing Brand Manager (1099 independent contractor) who’s ready to match that pace.


The Role:

This isn’t a sit-behind-the-desk marketing job — it’s hands-on, creative, and full of energy. You’ll be at the center of a brand that thrives on momentum, managing everything from social media strategy to high-profile relationships with athletes, partners, and vendors.

As a 1099 contractor, you’ll deliver results while working closely with the leadership team to maintain brand consistency and deliver on key initiatives. You’ll create content that connects, campaigns that convert, and moments that capture attention. If you love the challenge of constant movement and bold ideas, this is where you belong.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the social media content calendar, bringing creative ideas to life.
  • Edit and produce videos and digital content that tell compelling brand stories.
  • Manage client and vendor relationships, representing the brand with professionalism and personality.
  • Lead creative campaigns across social, digital, and live events.
  • Bring energy, humor, and a team-first attitude to every project.
  • Adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-moving, ever-changing environment.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, or digital content creation (sports or lifestyle brand experience preferred).
  • Skilled in graphic design, video editing, and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and social media strategy experience.
  • Creative mindset with a balance of strategy and execution.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and energized by collaboration.


Schedule & Travel:

  • Up to 50% travel — November–April (about 1 week per month) and Memorial Day–Labor Day (about 2 weeks per month).
  • Flexible scheduling typical of an independent contractor arrangement (core collaboration hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5 PM).
