Job description

Join our hands-on aquaculture team maintaining and repairing boats and heavy equipment used to harvest brine shrimp. You’ll split your year between preventive maintenance at our Snowville, UT plant (Feb 1–Sept 30) and overnight “graveyard” shifts on Stansbury Island during harvest season (Oct 1–Jan 31). Your work ensures our fleet and machinery resist salt-water corrosion and run flawlessly each day.

Job duties include:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boats (Yamaha motors a plus) and heavy equipment (gradalls, forklifts, generators, tractors)

• Inspect hulls, engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems for salt-damage and wear

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement timely fixes

• Support overnight operations during harvest: prep incoming vessels for the next day’s harvest

• Coordinate parts orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels

• Keep detailed service logs and maintenance records

• Adhere to safety and environmental procedures

Experience:

• Prior boat- or heavy-machinery mechanic experience preferred

• Familiarity with Yamaha outboard engines a plus

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to follow procedures and adapt to changing demands

• Willingness to attend trainings as needed

• Flexible schedule and full availability Oct 1 – Jan 31

Job Types: Full-time (seasonal)

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, plus overtime & bonuses
