BigFoot Staffing is excited to offer a direct hire garage door technician role with an industry leader in Central Oregon. This local company is dedicated to bringing quality custom garage doors to Central Oregon while supporting a strong company culture centered around leadership, family, quality and health.

Position Overview:

This full-time, in-person role involves installing, servicing, and repairing residential, commercial, and industrial overhead doors and openers. We're seeking a mechanically inclined individual with strong communication skills, a commitment to quality, and a customer-first attitude. Ideal candidates are reliable, safety-focused, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks on-site.

Essential Job Duties:

• Install and service garage doors and openers using power tools, hand tools, and test equipment
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to perform accurate installations
• Adjust and repair electric openers and door mechanisms
• Inspect job sites to ensure compatibility with door systems
• Assemble and secure door tracks, springs, and hardware
• Complete job-related paperwork and collect payments
• Maintain clean and organized company vehicle
• Unload scrap and restock unused parts daily

Requirements:

• 1 year of garage door installation
• 1 year of mechanical experience
• Valid Driver’s License
• Full-time: Minimum of 40 hours per week

Preferred Skills:

• Mechanical proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow direction
• Organized and proactive in providing feedback

Physical Demands:

• Must regularly lift/move up to 100 lbs
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crawling
• Regular use of ladders, lifts, and scaffolding
• Requires strong visual acuity (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception)
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach, and hear throughout the workday

Pay and Benefits:

• $24.00 – $29.00 per hour
