BigFoot Staffing is partnering with a growing, people-first organization in Portland to find an experienced Human Resources Manager who can take ownership of HR operations while helping leadership scale the business the right way.
This role is ideal for someone who can bring structure, clarity, and consistency to people processes, without losing the human side of HR.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Build a Better Hiring Engine:
Take the lead on recruiting strategy and execution—working directly with managers to define needs, attract the right talent, and improve how hiring decisions are made.
Create a Consistent Employee Experience:
Own how employees enter, move through, and exit the company—ensuring onboarding is organized, transitions are smooth, and nothing falls through the cracks.
Keep HR Clean, Compliant, and Organized:
Be the point person for records, policies, and compliance—making sure everything is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with employment regulations.
Support and Level-Up Leadership:
Act as a trusted partner to managers—helping them navigate performance issues, documentation, and team challenges with confidence.
Handle the Hard Stuff:
Step in when employee issues arise—managing concerns, investigations, and resolutions with fairness, clarity, and professionalism.
Own the Details That Impact Retention:
Oversee benefits, support compensation alignment, and ensure payroll-related updates are accurate and timely.
Bring Structure to Systems & Processes:
Manage and improve HR systems, while simplifying workflows so the team can operate more efficiently.
Think Beyond Today:
Work alongside leadership to anticipate hiring needs, identify gaps, and build scalable HR practices that support long-term growth.
