Description

We are hiring a hands-on Auto Salon Manager to lead daily operations for a high-end Auto Salon within the premier exotic and luxury dealership in the Pacific Northwest. This is a rare opportunity for a people-first leader from a service-based industry (restaurants, hospitality, or construction) looking to take their management career into the automotive space.

No detailing background is required (we'll train the right person), but a passion for cars and building high-performing teams is essential. You'll lead a department that supports luxury brands like Aston Martin, Lotus, and Karma and will help scale operations in wash, detail, coatings, and wholesale services.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Administration

• Mentor, lead, and coach a growing Auto Salon team while promoting accountability and professional development
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and training of staff
• Monitor department profitability: track labor hours, costs, and margins to meet revenue goals
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Service, and Parts departments to meet client expectations
• Ensure all practices align with brand standards and workplace safety protocols

Car Wash and Detailing Operations

• Manage daily operations of the on-site wash service to ensure fast, efficient, and high-quality results
• Track throughput, staff productivity, and customer service performance
• Schedule wash team members and oversee labor efficiency
• Supervise daily detail work, from basic cleanings to high-end services
• Train team members on client interaction, upselling services, and service execution
• Support team in learning advanced offerings such as ceramic coatings and paint protection film (PPF)

Wholesale Accounts

• Manage existing wholesale relationships with dealerships, vendors, and B2B clients
• Prospect and close new wholesale opportunities to expand recurring revenue
• Act as the primary point of contact for wholesale partners, ensuring top-tier service and retention

Performance Benchmarks

• Achieve monthly revenue and margin goals for wash, detail, and wholesale
• Maintain average labor efficiency above 80%
• Demonstrate improvement in staff retention, satisfaction, and individual productivity
• Continuously optimize team scheduling and workflow processes

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5+ years of management experience in fast-paced industries such as hospitality, construction, logistics, or service trades
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Sales-driven mindset with a focus on growth and client service
• Organized, process-focused, and metrics-oriented
• Interest in learning detailing services, vehicle coatings, and specialty auto finishes
• Experience managing scheduling, productivity, and team performance metrics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
