Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the air export department, ensuring shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with IATA, TSA, and applicable international trade regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of air export coordinators and agents, setting performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, handling agents, and overseas partners to negotiate capacity, rates, and service levels that meet customer needs.
• Manage the preparation and review of all export documentation including airway bills, commercial invoices, export declarations (EEI/AES), and dangerous goods certifications as required.
• Monitor shipment KPIs and departmental metrics, identifying operational bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions to improve transit times and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as a key escalation point for complex customer issues, proactively communicating updates and solutions to maintain client confidence and retention.
• Collaborate with sales, customs brokerage, and import teams to support cross-functional business development and deliver seamless end-to-end logistics solutions.
