Performance Objectives

  • Grow revenue and retention on assigned accounts by matching service design to each customer’s shipping, compliance, and distribution needs.
  • Prevent service failures by coordinating air, ocean, truck, rail, warehouse, and customs partners to one clear plan when exceptions arise.
  • Convert customer requirements into bookings, orders, and performance reviews that operations can execute without rework.
  • Use standard systems and processes to deliver accurate status, landed-cost visibility, and early risk alerts.
  • Expand share of wallet with practical offers in compliance, insurance, fulfillment, and multi-modal freight.
  • Report account health with on-time performance, claim rate, quote-to-book conversion, and margin.
  • Earn renewals and referrals from decision-makers through results they can see, not promises.

Environment & Resources

You work daily with operations, customs, and technology specialists and report to commercial leadership. Booking, order, tracking, CRM, and compliance tools are in place, backed by a global network and uniform processes. You can convene the right people and recommend service changes within agreed margin targets. The setting is a focused, privately held logistics organization of a few hundred people—close enough that account issues get a named owner.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proven ownership of B2B accounts in freight forwarding, third-party logistics, or international trade.
  • Ability to read a shipment file—Incoterms, customs status, transit exceptions—and explain the commercial impact.
  • A record of retaining and growing logistics accounts, not only opening them.
  • Skill at coordinating specialists rather than personally executing every operational task.
  • Clear written updates that customers and internal teams can act on the same day.
