Responsibilities

• Prepare and process U.S. Customs and Border Protection entry filings for ocean freight shipments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable trade regulations.
• Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and determine correct duty rates, valuation, and country-of-origin requirements.
• Communicate with importers, carriers, and customs authorities to resolve entry discrepancies, holds, or requests for additional documentation.
• Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other supporting documents to validate entry data prior to submission.
• Monitor shipment status and provide timely updates to clients regarding clearance progress and estimated delivery timelines.
• Maintain organized records of all entry transactions and ensure post-entry corrections and protests are filed in a timely manner when required.
• Stay current on changes to customs regulations, trade agreements, and CBP enforcement priorities that may impact transatlantic import operations.
