Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments for government and defense-related customers from booking through departure, including airline booking, cargo tendering, and delivery confirmation.
• Prepare, review, and audit export documentation such as air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, shipper's letters of instruction, and dangerous goods declarations for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure compliance with export control and security regulations, including EAR, ITAR, AES/EEI filing, and TSA known shipper and screening requirements.
• Communicate daily with airlines, ground handlers, overseas offices, and government agency contacts to confirm space, routings, and flight schedules, and flag delays or exceptions before they affect the customer.
• Track shipments in transit and give clients, sales teams, and program managers timely, accurate status updates through final delivery.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with airlines, trucking providers, and warehouse teams serving the Washington Dulles gateway.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready shipment files in the company's operating system and support contract reporting and process improvement for government accounts.
