Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of existing and prospective customers by identifying shipping needs and presenting tailored ocean freight solutions across HMM's service network
• Generate new business through proactive outbound calls, emails, and relationship-building efforts targeting importers, exporters, and freight forwarders
• Prepare and deliver competitive rate quotations, proposals, and service agreements in coordination with pricing and trade lane teams
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads, and pipeline activity within the CRM system to support forecasting and reporting
• Collaborate with operations, customer service, and documentation teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing satisfaction for new and existing accounts
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and trade lane developments to effectively position services and identify new revenue opportunities
• Meet or exceed individual sales targets and KPIs including revenue growth, new account acquisition, and customer retention metrics
