Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file entry documents for import/export shipments in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations
  • Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure accurate duty, tax, and fee calculations
  • Serve as the licensed point of contact for CBP audits, inquiries, and compliance matters
  • Advise clients on customs regulations, trade compliance requirements, and duty mitigation strategies (e.g., free trade agreements, drawback programs)
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with import/export laws, including ISF filings, AES filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams and government agencies (CBP, FDA, USDA, etc.) to resolve shipment holds, exams, and other customs-related issues
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing trade regulations, tariffs, and customs procedures, and train staff accordingly
