Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily customs brokerage operations, ensuring timely and compliant clearance of import shipments
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of customs entry writers and specialists
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and procedures
• Review and approve entries for accuracy, classification, valuation, and admissibility
• Act as the primary escalation point for complex customs issues, audits, and government inquiries
• Partner with internal operations, compliance, and sales teams to support client needs
• Maintain and enforce internal SOPs and compliance standards
• Monitor performance metrics, productivity, and service levels

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of customs brokerage experience
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. import regulations, HTS classification, PGA requirements, and customs compliance
• Customs Broker License (CBL) strongly preferred
• Experience working within a freight forwarding or 3PL environment
• Proficiency in customs brokerage systems and Microsoft Office
