Seattle - Control Tower Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a Control Tower delivering 95%+ real-time visibility across assigned air and sea portfolios within the first 90 days.
  • Reduce average exception-resolution time by 20% in year one through proactive alerts, standardized playbooks, and root-cause tracking.
  • Produce weekly KPI reports and monthly business reviews that drive measurable gains in on-time performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and coach a team of coordinators and analysts so that 80% of issues are resolved at first contact.
  • Standardize processes and dashboards that scale to new customers and trade lanes without proportional headcount growth.
  • Partner with sales and operations to convert Control Tower insights into at least two contract expansions or new awards per year.
  • 5+ years in international air and ocean freight, including 2+ years managing visibility, exception handling, or a control-tower function.
  • Proven results improving on-time performance or reducing dwell times through data, process, and team leadership.
  • Hands-on proficiency with TMS platforms, visibility software, and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI or equivalent).
  • Experience leading small teams in a high-volume, time-sensitive logistics environment.
  • Strong communication skills with customers, carriers, and internal operations, sales, and IT stakeholders.
