Alliance Mechanical Insulation, a local family-owned company offering a full range of commercial and industrial mechanical insulation products and services, is seeking a Sr. Bookkeeper to join their team onsite in Schnecksville, PA.


The Sr. Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting company operations.

The ideal candidate will have construction accounting experience, familiarity with job costing, payroll processing and union reporting.

Sr. Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash applications, collections support, lien waivers, and account records.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, including vendor invoice entry, PO matching, payment processing, vendor records, and account reconciliations.
  • Process weekly payroll, maintain payroll records, track labor allocations, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
  • Prepare certified payroll reports, union fringe benefit reporting, prevailing wage documentation, and support payroll audits and compliance requirements.
  • Track and analyze project costs, maintain job costing records, monitor budgets, identify variances.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, cash management, general ledger entries, and cash flow reporting.
  • Maintain organized accounting and payroll record and assist with audits and financial reporting.
  • Support office operations and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Sr. Bookkeeper Qualifications:

  • 3-5 yrs. bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • 3 yrs. QuickBooks experience
  • Experience with construction job costing required
  • Knowledge of certified payroll and union fringe benefits preferred
  • Strong understanding of payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with accounting/ERP software
  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills as well as being detail oriented
