The Project Engineer II plays a key role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of water filtration projects. The Project Engineer works closely with a team of engineers and collaborates with various departments to ensure project goals are met within specified timelines and budgets. This role is roughly 60% technical design, 35% project management and 5% communicating with customers and vendors.

Project Engineer II Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan and execute water filtration projects.
- Assists in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Creates detailed project plans, drawings, schedules, budgets, and monitor progress to ensure milestones are achieved.
- Conducts engineering analyses, calculations, and simulations to optimize filtration system designs.
- Collaborates with the procurement team to source and purchase project materials, equipment, and services.
- Assists in risk assessment and develop mitigation plans to address potential project challenges.
- Oversees the construction, installation, and commissioning of filtration systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Maintains accurate project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Collaborates with quality control to implement and maintain quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assists in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that may arise during project execution.
- Prepares and delivers project updates and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for process optimization and efficiency.
Project Engineer II Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, environmental, or related field).
- 2+ years of experience in project engineering, project management, or similar role, preferably in water filtration or related industries.
- 1 year of experience Inventor-preferred or SolidWorks (would consider someone with only AutoCAD experience).
- Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in engineering software and tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manager multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with water filtration technologies and systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
- Must be open to 25% travel.
