Roberts Filter Group, a pioneer in water treatment for more than 135 years and one of the world’s most trusted names in municipal and industrial water treatment is seeking a Project Engineer II onsite in Coatesville, PA.

 

The Project Engineer II plays a key role in supporting the design, development, and implementation of water filtration projects. The Project Engineer works closely with a team of engineers and collaborates with various departments to ensure project goals are met within specified timelines and budgets. This role is roughly 60% technical design, 35% project management and 5% communicating with customers and vendors.

Project Engineer II Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to plan and execute water filtration projects.
  • Assists in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Creates detailed project plans, drawings, schedules, budgets, and monitor progress to ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Conducts engineering analyses, calculations, and simulations to optimize filtration system designs.
  • Collaborates with the procurement team to source and purchase project materials, equipment, and services.
  • Assists in risk assessment and develop mitigation plans to address potential project challenges.
  • Oversees the construction, installation, and commissioning of filtration systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Maintains accurate project documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Collaborates with quality control to implement and maintain quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assists in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that may arise during project execution.
  • Prepares and delivers project updates and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for process optimization and efficiency.

 

Project Engineer II Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, chemical, environmental, or related field).
  • 2+ years of experience in project engineering, project management, or similar role, preferably in water filtration or related industries.
  • 1 year of experience Inventor-preferred or SolidWorks (would consider someone with only AutoCAD experience).
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including proficiency in engineering software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manager multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with water filtration technologies and systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Must be open to 25% travel.
