We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations in our Coatesville, PA production and fabrication facility.
Position Summary
The Production Manager oversees all manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production of high‑quality products within established timelines. This role requires strong leadership, a commitment to ISO‑driven quality systems, and a focus on continuous improvement, safety, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
- Optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure production activities align with ISO procedures and documented workflows.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and motivate a skilled production team to achieve operational targets.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment emphasizing safety, quality, and productivity.
- Conduct regular training to reinforce ISO standards, safety practices, and operational excellence.
Quality Assurance
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure the production of high‑quality products.
- Maintain compliance with ISO‑aligned quality management systems, documentation, and audits.
- Partner with the Quality Assurance team to resolve issues promptly and prevent recurrence.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive initiatives that enhance operational efficiency.
- Support ISO continuous improvement cycles, including corrective actions and preventive measures.
Resource Management
- Manage production resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate with procurement and logistics to optimize inventory levels and material flow.
- Ensure equipment maintenance schedules align with ISO and safety requirements.
Safety Compliance
- Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies, and ISO safety documentation.
- Investigate and address safety incidents promptly, implementing corrective actions.
Budget Management
- Assist in developing and managing the production budget.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost‑control measures.
Communication & Reporting
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and successes to senior management.
- Generate regular reports on KPIs, production metrics, and ISO‑related documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO quality systems, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- In‑depth understanding of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
