Convaid an ETAC company, established in 1976 and a leader in adaptive assisted pediatric mobility products is seeking a Customer Service Representative for their Parts/Technical Support call center onsite in Torrance, CA.

 

The Customer Service Representative for Parts/Technical Support will be responsible for providing customer-facing support via phone calls and email focusing on parts and technical support for pediatric mobility products.


The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, 2 years of call center customer service experience, mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.


***This role specifically provides support for parts and technical concerns related to wheelchairs so being mechanically inclined is a huge plus, but we are willing to train.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities: 

  • Manage incoming calls and assist customers with product selection, pricing, and inquiries.
  • Prepare quotes, including pricing and lead times, and conduct follow-ups on inquiries and orders.
  • Apply mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities to effectively resolve product-related customer issues.
  • Process and enter customer orders into the order management system.
  • Coordinate with customers to secure timely approvals on outstanding orders.
  • Collaborated with the shipping department to ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment customer requirements.
  • Facilitated product returns by issuing Return Authorizations (RAs) in compliance with company policies.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and internal departments, including Sales, Purchasing, and Credit, to support operational efficiency.
  • Work independently and collaboratively to achieve individual and team sales goals.

 

Customer Service Representative Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of call center customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must enjoy being on the phone handling high call volume.
  • Strong organization and time management skills as well as a stickler for details.
  • Ability to remain professional, courteous and composed under pressure.
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude and be self-motivated.
  • Mechanical aptitude strongly preferred.
