Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Marketing and Business Development will play a key role in helping grow Etac Patient Handling in the U.S. and turning our priorities into action.
We are a relatively small team, so the ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is comfortable wearing a lot of hats. The right person will be able to think strategically, lead and develop people and manage important projects. This role will work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and colleagues across Etac Patient Handling globally. A big part of the job will be supporting the channels we have today while helping us build the capabilities needed to grow in Long-Term Care and Acute Care.

Director of Marketing and Business Development Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Channel Development
- Work with the leadership team to turn business priorities into clear plans and actions.
- Support and help execute our existing strategies across Home Care, Government/VA, and Direct-to-Consumer.
- Help build our Long-Term Care and Acute Care channels, including the go-to-market approach, programs, tools, and capabilities needed to grow.
- Identify new growth opportunities across products, customers, channels, and routes to market.
Marketing & Commercial Execution
- Lead and support product marketing, brand, digital, CRM/Salesforce, sales effectiveness, and new product launch activities.
- Work closely with Sales to make sure commercial programs are practical, well supported, and executed in the field.
- Be willing to personally take on projects and deliverables rather than only managing them through others.
Business Operations
- Lead cross-functional projects involving Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Product.
- Continue to improve our operating rhythms, dashboards, and KPIs so we stay focused on the right priorities and follow through on commitments.
- Help solve day-to-day business issues as they come up and bring structure to areas that need it.
Global Collaboration
- Work closely with Etac Patient Handling's global commercial, marketing, and product teams.
- Make sure U.S. customer and market needs are represented in global discussions and product priorities.
- Bring relevant global programs and best practices into the U.S. business and adapt them to our market where needed.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop team members while setting clear expectations and accountability.
- Create a collaborative, practical working environment where people are comfortable taking ownership and getting things done.
Director of Marketing and Business Development Qualifications:
***Must have DTC marketing experience to be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA a plus.
- 8+ years’ experience in commercial leadership, marketing, business operations, or strategy. (Ideally in medical device, DME/HME, or healthcare products).
- 3+ years of leadership experience with a track record of developing teams and holding people accountable. Must have had direct reports.
- 3+ years DTC marketing experience
- A player-coach mindset, comfortable setting direction, and willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work too.
- Experience executing established commercial strategies as well as helping build new channels or growth initiatives.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Product.
- Experience working with global teams or in a matrixed organization.
- Strong business judgment, project-management skills, and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels of an organization.
- Experience with CRM platforms, commercial analytics, and digital/DTC channels. Salesforce and Amazon experience are a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically approximately 25%.
