The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for processing orders, preparing price quotes, and providing support to customers by fielding customer emails and phone calls. The ideal Customer Service Representative is professional, adaptable, comfortable working with multiple departments, passionate about helping customers, organized and has customer service experience.
The Customer Service Representative opportunity can best be described by the below functions.
- 50% entering purchase orders
- 30% quotes
- 15% phone calls
- 5% field inquiries
Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:
- Field and direct calls to appropriate personnel, sales representatives, or offsite personnel
- Respond to calls, emails, web inquiries, and general requests from customers and sales representatives
- Answer requests for information about products or service via phone or email
- Prepare customer price quotes as requested by the sales team or customers
- Confirm and process purchase orders via ERP system
- Coordinate special shipping requirements with the shipping department
- Communicate with customer approximate shipping date, potential delays, and any additional information needed by customer
- Identify any special needs or requests from the customer and communicate those requests to the appropriate departments
- Keep records of customer interactions and file documents
- Maintain customer database with accurate and complete information
Customer Service Representative Qualifications:
- Must have a dynamic personality and passionate about working with customers
- Experience processing purchase orders and creating quotes in an ERP or similar software
- 2+ yrs. customer service experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Eager to learn product information
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds- (HoverTech International is a true team and when shipments arrive the entire company, regardless of level, assists with unloading containers.)
