Our client is searching for a caring and experienced Registered Nurse to serve as the Supervisor of Assisted Living Services on their clinical team. This is an essential position for a caring leader who is dedicated to delivering superior care and maintaining a positive, high-quality climate for residents and employees alike.



As the RN Supervisor of Assisted Living Services (SALSA), you will be responsible for leading all resident care services to ensure the highest standards of safety, compliance, and resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Operational Leadership

  • Develop, direct, and coordinate all nursing and resident care aide services to deliver seamless, high-quality care.
  • Engage in strategic program planning, budgeting, and evaluation processes to ensure enhanced clinical services.
  • Furnish adequate levels of licensed nurses and care aides at all times to meet fluctuating resident demands.
  • Develop and submit regular reports on service delivery, client statistics, and operating performance to management leadership.
  • Preserve regular direct nursing services to residents as needed, according to best practice and regulation.



Team Management & Development

  • Oversee and direct the clinical care staff, ensuring a cheerful and pleasant work environment.
  • Supervise the whole talent life cycle like staff hiring, hiring, and comprehensive orientation.
  • Develop and implement continuous in-service training, educational programs, and professional development for staff.
  • Take regular performance audits to ensure the clinical skills of all care and nursing staff.


Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain impeccable and confidential staff records, administration records, and operating policies.
  • Be the backup clinical resource if a Registered Nurse is unavailable.
  • Provide a safe, positive, and cooperative setting for residents, families, employees, and vendors.



Qualifications

Skills:

  • Demonstrated work in a leadership or supervisory role, ideally in an assisted living, long-term care, or Skilled Nursing.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with the authority to inspire and motivate others.
  • Qualified communication skills, with the ability to explain information in a clear manner to individuals and groups.
  • Read, comprehend, and write professional correspondence and instructions.
  • Very good reasoning and problem-solving skill, with the ability to handle intricate situations effectively.


License & Education:

  • Current / unrestricted state of Connecticut Registered Nursing (RN) license.  

      

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing with 2+ years of full-time clinical experience, including 1 year in home health or community health; - OR -
  • Diploma or associate’s degree in nursing with 4+ years of full-time clinical experience in the past 10 years, including 1 year in home health or community health.
  • Current CPR certification.



Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • This position requires a high level and on-site presence in order to be an effective leader and to monitor.
  • The workplace is a normal assisted living community with a moderate noise level.
  • The job necessitates sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day.
