Safety & Risk Management Consultant
Remote – N.California (Fresno to the Sacramento area) | $85K–$120K + Variable Compensation of approx. 10% of base salary paid annually

We’re partnering with a growing organization seeking a Safety & Risk Management Consultant to support clients across California with safety, loss control, and risk management consulting services. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven safety professional who enjoys working directly with clients, solving operational challenges, and helping organizations create safer workplaces.
This role offers the flexibility of a remote work environment while providing meaningful client-facing impact across multiple industries.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and virtual safety and risk management consulting services
- Conduct workplace hazard assessments, loss control surveys, and operational risk evaluations
- Develop customized safety programs, policies, and compliance initiatives
- Deliver practical recommendations to reduce injuries, losses, and operational risk
- Lead client training sessions focused on workplace safety and injury prevention
- Conduct root cause investigations and analyze incident trends
- Partner with executives, operations leaders, HR teams, and safety professionals
- Audit existing safety programs and recommend continuous improvement strategies
- Communicate findings through reports, presentations, and client meetings
- Independently manage schedules, travel planning, and client priorities
Qualifications:
- 5–7+ years of safety, loss control, or risk management experience
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations, compliance standards, and hazard mitigation
- Experience conducting risk assessments and evaluating safety programs
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and senior stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout California
- Spanish language skills are a plus

- CSP
- ASP
- ARM
- CRM
- CHST
- COSS
- COHST
- CSHO / CSHCO
- Or similar professional safety designations
Work Environment & Travel:
- Fully remote/work-from-home role
- Approximately 50% travel, including overnight travel 3–4 times per month
- Exposure to office, manufacturing, industrial, and construction environments
- PPE may be required depending on client site conditions
