Senior Safety & Risk Management Consultant
Remote – California | $100K–$120K Base + Variable Compensation approx. 10% of base salary paid annually

We’re partnering with a growing organization seeking a Senior Safety & Risk Management Consultant to support clients across California through strategic safety consulting, risk reduction initiatives, and operational improvement programs. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly independent consultant who enjoys building relationships, solving complex safety challenges, and helping organizations strengthen workplace safety culture.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and virtual safety, risk management, and loss control consulting services
- Conduct workplace hazard assessments, safety audits, and risk evaluations
- Develop customized safety programs, action plans, policies, and training materials
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify corrective actions
- Partner directly with executives, operations leaders, HR teams, and business owners
- Deliver presentations, training sessions, and strategic safety recommendations
- Analyze safety trends and recommend proactive risk mitigation strategies
- Support clients with regulatory compliance and operational safety improvements
- Mentor junior consultants and share industry best practices
- Travel throughout California to support client engagements across multiple industries
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of safety consulting, loss control, or risk management experience
- Strong knowledge of workplace safety principles, regulatory compliance, and hazard mitigation
- Experience conducting onsite safety evaluations and operational risk assessments
- Ability to manage multiple client projects independently
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern technology tools
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout California
Required Certifications:
Candidates should hold at least one recognized safety or risk designation, including:
- CSP
- ASP
- ARM
- CRM
- CHST
- COSS
- COHST
- Or similar professional certification
Preferred Background:
- Experience supporting manufacturing, construction, industrial, or multi-site operations
- Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus
- Experience creating safety training programs and materials
- Active participation in organizations such as ASSP preferred
