
Workers’ Compensation Claims Manager
$100K–$105K Base Salary + Benefits

We’re partnering with a growing Workers’ Compensation Third Party Administrator seeking an experienced Claims Manager to lead claims operations, mentor claims professionals, and ensure high-quality claims handling in compliance with state regulations and company standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong workers’ compensation leader who enjoys managing teams, improving operational performance, and maintaining strong client relationships within a fast-paced claims environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise claims examiners and clerical staff
- Oversee daily claims operations, workload distribution, and staffing coverage
- Review and approve reserves, settlements, awards, and payments
- Conduct file reviews to ensure compliance with company procedures and state regulations
- Support and mentor team members through coaching, evaluations, and training initiatives
- Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain operational compliance
- Manage escalated claimant, client, and vendor concerns professionally and efficiently
- Prepare and review client reports and participate in client file review meetings
- Partner with internal leadership, account teams, and corporate stakeholders on service initiatives and RFP support
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure client servicing standards are maintained
- Assist with branch operations, expense approvals, and ongoing process improvements
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of workers’ compensation claims experience, including leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation regulations, claims handling, and medical terminology
- Experience managing claims staff, workflows, and operational deadlines
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred Background:
- Experience within a Workers’ Compensation TPA environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience handling audits, client reporting, and account management responsibilities
