POSITION OVERVIEW:

Trinity's mission is to be a community of believers committed to knowing and loving God, while bringing all people to maturity in Jesus Christ. The Pastor of Student Ministries supports this mission by providing oversight and leadership to Trinity Students (7th-12th grade), intentionally focusing on building authentic relationships that lead to discipleship.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Student Ministry Programming 

  • Plan, organize, and execute weekly Sunday night student ministry programming for both middle and high school groups, including worship music, large group teaching, small groups, games/activities, etc. 
  • Recruit and develop a team of volunteers to use their gifts to grow the ministry and disciple students. 
  • Engage students to use their gifts to serve within the student ministry and church at-large (student leadership, first impressions, ministry technology, worship, Trinity Kids, etc)
  • Define and implement a strategic plan/curriculum for discipleship, small groups, teaching, etc to guide students into a deeper walk with Christ.
  • Plan and lead a domestic mission trip experience annually.
  • Plan, organize, and execute events, camps, service opportunities within healthy teams and boundaries.


Student Relationships & Discipleship

  • Intentionally develop discipling relationships with students by investing quality time outside of weekly programming within healthy boundaries.
  • Model and encourage consistent personal connections (through texting, cards, calls, etc.) with every student at least quarterly. 


Administration

  • Build an intentional plan for communication to families, staff, and congregation regarding ministry events, programs etc. 
  • Host regular (at least yearly) parent meetings to share vision, teaching plans, etc.
  • Utilize ChurchTeams (ChMS) to manage rolls, attendance, communications, and follow-up. 
  • Respond to all emails/communications in a timely manner.


Other Pastoral Duties

  • Serve as a member of the pastoral staff team, participating in meetings as needed.
  • Be available to serve in platform capacity during worship services (announcements, communion, preaching as needed), perform weddings/funerals, and assist with congregational care as needed. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor of Ministry & Equipping.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must demonstrate mature Christian character aligned with biblical leadership qualifications (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9), fully affirm the EFCA Statement of Faith, and commit to Trinity's mission through active church membership and spiritual leadership.


BENEFITS AND PAY:

  • $50K-56K, depending upon education and experience
