Specialist Security Co is a provider of professional, quality security services in the South of the UK. Our 24hr operation allows us to deploy security officers who are fully monitored and managed. We also install, monitor and respond to CCTV and alarm systems and provide mobile patrols and open & lock up services.


The company is accredited with ISO9001:2008 and we are a Security Industry Authority approved contractor. We also maintain health and safety standards that enable us to hold CHAS accreditation. We're also a member of the BSIA (British Security Industry Association) and our MD Rachel Fleri takes an active role within the association both as a committee member at national level and the regional chair for the security guarding section.


We are looking for a Business Graduate, Finance Graduate, or Accountancy Graduate to join us as a Business Manager. Upon joining the company, you will be supported in your learning & development and will have the opportunity to be put forward to AAT exams.


Once fully trained, your responsibilities will include:


General Finance Management


  • Manage the accounts email
  • Manage financial record keeping
  • Monthly invoicing
  • Post supplier invoices to Xero software
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Credit control
  • Enter payments on to bank Monthly finance meetings


Accounting


  • You will have the opportunity to be put forward to AAT exams and when ready submit VAT returns and produce management accounts


KPIs


  • Collect monthly figures from department colleagues
  • Produce monthly KPI spreadsheet for MD
  • Run monthly KPI meeting with MD & team


Payroll


  • Generate reports for hours worked from Guardhouse
  • Enter hours to Grosspay spreadsheet
  • Enter deductions to gross paysheet including advances & loans, licence fees, training, lifts, fines, additional uniform
  • Track wage adjustments & loans
  • Once the Gross Pay has been completed a Gross Pay Meeting will happen with the MD and Operations to analyse any discrepancies
  • Enter payroll to Brightpay
  • Add any Sick Notes/ Absences
  • Input and edit any attachment of earnings


Develop knowledge of industry and business procedures and compliance.


  • Review and understand British Standards BS7858, BS7499 and others relevant to industry


Audit & Accreditation


  • Manage renewal of all company accreditations
  • Where required assist in assessment for accreditations Internal audit


Other Business Admin


  • You will be required to learn all company software applications and understand procedures for their use.


Criteria:


To be successful in your application, you will be a Business Graduate, Finance Graduate, or Accountancy Graduate, ideally with admin experience


Salary:


In return, you will receive a salary of £23,000 - £25,000
