Senior/Staff Backend Engineer (Data & Platform)

We are looking for someone to help architect and ship systems that process billions of rows of data to verify ads, model performance, and surface actionable insights. What you’ll do

Design & deliver high‑scale backend services that analyze, process, and model large datasets with reliability and speed.

Build platforms & tooling other teams can extend such (APIs, data services, internal developer tools etc)

Experience end‑to‑end ownership, from ideation to architecture to implementation to deployments, you will own complete systems and features

Lead major platform initiatives; set technical direction and raise the quality bar for performance, correctness, and cost efficiency.

Partner across the stack contributing UI when needed to ship complete features

Collaborate with customers and go‑to‑market partners to deeply understand use cases and translate them into product and platform capabilities.

Champion data: statistical thinking, experiment design, and metrics that matter (familiarity with ML/stat modeling is a plus).
Example projects you may tackle

Optimization engine that selects which downloads to insert ads into based on historical and real‑time performance signals.

Data pipelines & deployment systems for statistical/ML models, from training to serving to monitoring.

Large‑scale data graph over billions of rows to enhance attribution and incrementality solutions.

Enhanced radio modeling: unify new data sources and combine multiple models to produce robust results.

AI insights: develop a system that utilizes SOTA AI models to provide insights and simplify workflows for our customers
Our environment

Stack: Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, React. The language is less important than your craft.

Cloud: Deep in AWS (experience helpful but not required).

Databases: Clickhouse, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB

Domain: cross‑channel measurement (podcast, streaming, CTV, radio) with pixel‑based attribution and household‑level insights.

Thought leadership: monthly rankings and quarterly benchmark reports keep us, and the market, data‑driven.
What will make you successful here

5+ years writing production code with a track record of shipping durable systems.

Data platform experience: pipelines, ETL/ELT, event‑driven systems, and schema design.

Systems mindset: you’ve built for scale and reliability and can profile, optimize, and tune costs.

Platform builder: you’ve created tools or services that others build on top of.

Product sense: you sweat the edge cases and the user experience, not just the happy path.

Clear communicator: crisp writing and thoughtful async collaboration; comfortable meeting with customers.
