Quality Engineer

Davenport, IA – Full Time

 

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Davenport, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations. This includes the application of quality tools within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and Customer Support Process (CSP). Also support application of quality tools with key suppliers as an integral element of quality planning.

 

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

 

Duties:

  • Use quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria to ensure the identification of quality concerns.
  • Investigate unit quality related issues and concerns related to product and processes, gather and analyze data, resolving/facilitating resolution and implementing corrective action.
  • Provide work direction to inspectors on containment, quality procedures and tools to monitor critical processes.
  • Facilitate quality-related discussions with internal and external customers to drive corrective action.
  • Generate monthly quality reports for monitoring metrics and participate in management reviews.
  • Help to identify Continuous Improvement projects (CI).


Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Team based and Shop Floor experience.
  • 2 years+ of experience.

 

Preferred:

  • Mechanical/Industrial Degree is preferred however not required.
  • Manager is willing to consider candidates with other degrees and equivalent work experience.
