Product/Design Engineer – CE Attachments

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Salina, KS. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be an experienced Product Engineer joining our Construction Equipment (CE) Attachment Product Development team.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Design new skid-steer and excavator attachments and OEM products from concept through production.
- Manage all aspects of design projects including concept development, prototyping, testing, validation, and design-for-manufacturability.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure correct fabrication, welding, assembly, and functional performance.
- Present design concepts, features, opportunities and challenges to the Land Pride management team.
- Utilize analysis software, evaluate field testing and recommend design modifications to optimize product designs.
- Create detailed drawings, bill of materials, test plans, etc.
- Identify and recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to engineering team lead.
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned that require additional qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural or BioSystems Machinery Engineering, or related engineering discipline from a four-year college or university.
- 5+ years of hands-on design engineering experience, preferably in construction equipment, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, or related industries.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes (fabrication, welding, assembly) and design-for-manufacturability.
- Proficient in CAD (Creo, CATIA, or similar), PLM tools (Windchill), and FEA software; strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present technical information clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and resolving field and shop issues safely.
- Willing and able to travel out of state for multiple days during development and testing phases.
