Machine, Systems Integration Senior Engineering Specialist – DET Validation Planning

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Green Valley, AZ. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will Join our Electrification team at the forefront of mining innovation, where we’re transforming heavy equipment through our Dynamic Energy Transfer (DET) systems. This newly created role focuses on validation planning—a critical function to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of DET systems across lab, virtual, and field environments.
You’ll lead structured validation efforts that span component-level testing, system integration, and customer-specific field trials. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that directly supports risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and accelerated time-to-market for our electrified products.
Duties:
- Lead DET validation planning across virtual environments, lab facilities, captive fleets, and customer mine sites.
- Develop and manage customer-specific test plans, ensuring alignment with regulatory, safety, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with systems, software, controls, and test engineering teams to define and execute validation strategies.
- Own the requirement verification process, ensuring traceability and completeness across the product lifecycle.
- Drive risk mitigation through early-stage validation, reducing downstream failures and warranty exposure.
- Interface with field teams and customers to support real-world testing and feedback loops.
- Maintain close alignment with program milestones, enabling rapid iteration and deployment readiness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Customer-Centric: Ensures DET systems meet real-world demands and regulatory expectations.
- Risk Reduction: Prevents late-stage failures and protects brand reputation through proactive validation.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Bridges engineering disciplines to deliver integrated, reliable solutions.
- Engineering Expertise: Background in electrification, power systems, or mining equipment development. Experience with batteries, electric drives, power electronics, and system integration.
- Validation Planning: Proven ability to lead structured validation efforts across diverse environments.
- Systems Thinking: Strong conceptual understanding of system interdependencies and performance drivers.
- Communication & Collaboration: Skilled in cross-functional coordination and customer engagement.
- Problem Solving & Decision Making: Ability to anticipate issues, analyze risks, and drive resolution.
- Information Capture: Proficient in documenting validation plans, test results, and requirement traceability.
Preferred:
- Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 13849).
- Familiarity with validation tools and techniques (e.g., FMEA, fault injection, test automation).
- Knowledge of mining industry requirements and regulatory frameworks.
