Weld Manufacturing Engineer
Davenport, IA – Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Davenport, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process. At this level, projects are of moderate scope and responsibility or may be a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process; decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers. May assign, coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel, contractors and suppliers.
Duties:
- Support operators as well and maintenance and other salary support staff.
- Trouble shooting MES systems, robot weld stations, manual weld stations as well as other automated equipment or processes.
- Continuous Improvement processes, SERA process, repair processes or process documentation updates.
- Responsibilities could expand into controls work or data science work as ability permits.
- Additional responsibilities will include project development, project documentation, and project implementation work as time permits.
Requirements:
- Ability to work 3rd shift.
- Experience with manual and robotic welding systems. Fanuc Preferred.
- Experience with MES systems in a fabrication environment.
- Ability to support production through execution of new or existing processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot automated and manual processes.
- Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written.
- Ability to troubleshoot manual welding fixtures, automated welding fixtures, read manufacturing prints (GD&T).
- Ability to navigate ambiguous situations.
- Ability to work alone as well as in a group setting.
- Ability to follow up with communications, questions, or work tickets.
- Ability to document work.
- Ability to develop and document processes.
- Ability to use Microsoft products such as Excel and Outlook.
