Quality Engineer
Waterloo, IA – Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Waterloo, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations. This includes the application of quality tools within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and Customer Support Process (CSP). Also support application of quality tools with key suppliers as an integral element of quality planning.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Spend approximately 80% of each day actively working on the shop floor to support quality initiatives.
- Conduct quality assurance processes, inspections, and audits for manufacturing output.
- Identify and resolve production-related quality issues in collaboration with shop floor personnel.
- Analyze processes and implement improvements to increase operational efficiency and product quality.
- Document findings, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Assist in precision assembly tasks as needed.
- Work approximately 2–3 hours of overtime each week based on operational needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Manufacturing or Industrial Technology.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in quality engineering practices and principles.
