Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Arthur, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a Manufacturing Engineer who will coordinate the design, development, and launch of components and assemblies from concept to production. Develop and improve manufacturing processes and tooling, and drive continuous improvement to deliver manufacturable, cost-effective parts on schedule. Support new projects and product development as needed.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization. 

Duties:

• Continued development of all manufacturing processes.
• Design and launch of components and assemblies from concept through production.
• Recognition of how manufacturing engineering relates to all aspects of the business (quality, operations, product development, etc.).
• Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Design and specify tooling, fixtures, and jigs to improve quality, throughput, and repeatability.
• Lead and assist in engineering projects as assigned.
• Fabricate items and tooling to aid in production and provide drawings for customer and in-house projects.
• Perform root cause analysis on quality and production issues and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize ERP system (NetSuite) to log production, track rejects, etc.
• Collaborate with the team to set and meet quality and production goals.
• Utilize training and experience to help move actionable projects into the production phase:
• Can include speaking to product design.
• Requires close coordination with the director of product development.
• Evaluate the goal of delivering quality products in a timely fashion against actual performance metrics.
• Provide constructive feedback to the management team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with manufacturing.
• Ability to think outside the box in the development new processes and ways to gain efficiency.
• Ability to see the big picture, aid in designing systems and executing production.
