Fertilizer System Designer
Goodfield, IL - Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Goodfield, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a talented and experienced Fertilizer System Designer to join our team onsite in Goodfield, IL. This role will focus on designing a complete liquid fertilizer application system, including tanks, hoses, and integration with existing machinery. As we expand our dry fertilizer spreader product line to include a liquid option, we are looking for a designer with strong sprayer system experience who can take ownership of this development.
Duties:
- Design and develop a complete liquid fertilizer system for agricultural equipment.
- Engineer and integrate liquid tanks, hosing, nozzles, and related components into existing spreader designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic engineers.
- Apply experience from prior sprayer system design projects to ensure system performance, safety, and ease of use.
- Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
- Participate in prototyping, field testing, and refinement of designs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience designing agricultural sprayers or liquid application systems.
- Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, tank design, and agricultural sprayer technologies.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Goodfield, IL.
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Prior experience designing systems for fertilizer application equipment.
- Familiarity with CNH platforms and product lines.
- Experience with field testing and performance validation.
