Safety Coordinator

Milan, IL- Full Time


Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at John Deere's facility in Milan, Illinois. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be an entry level safety professional. Understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge of those principles to comply with regulatory agency and company standards for injury and illness reporting requirements necessary to document incidents. 

 

This full-time position is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization. 


Duties:

  • Support the 1st shift Safety team, as well as provide coverage for half of the 2nd shift operation.
  • Complete accident, incident, and near miss investigations and work with appropriate parties to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Help develop John Deere Required and OSHA compliance training as well as deploy all required training to the 2nd shift operation.
  • Support the management of mobile equipment certifications and certification tracking.
  • Serve as a general resource for risk identification, auditing, and control to the 2nd shift NAPDC operation.


Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment with a strong safety background.
  • Safety Degree and/or very strong manufacturing safety experience.
  • MS Office suite.


Preferred:

  • CSP accreditation.
