HVC Embedded Software Engineer

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customers facility in Urbandale, IA. As a member of our team, the right candidate will be an HVC embedded software engineer who will be responsible for developing embedded software solutions to support the HVC product team and ultimately be responsible for taking these solutions to production.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Develop, integrate, test, and maintain embedded software solutions for HVC machines, tractors, displays, and controllers.
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams to translate product requirements and discover concepts into production-ready software.
- Develop and troubleshoot software using C/C++, embedded C, Lua, QML, MATLAB/Simulink, and related technologies.
- Support software integration across multiple platforms, including sensors, controllers, displays, and other machine systems.
- Perform software simulation, testing, debugging, and data analysis to identify and resolve system issues.
- Collaborate with customers, engineering teams, cooperators, and external partners to develop and implement software solutions.
- Use software development tools and technologies such as GitHub, JSON, Protobuf, Linux, and John Deere data/operations tools.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of target systems (HVC machines, tractors ) within and across production systems.
- Experience in development within cross-platform solutions and systems integration (3 years).
- Successful performance and experience in executing TDP discovery solutions and converting in PDP projects (3 years).
- Good collaboration skills with customers, cooperators and partners and John Deer cross-platform communication (3 years).
- Experience in software engineering practices and the appropriate tools to develop JD Display and controller software including simulation methods and sensor handling.
- Experience in a Linux Environment and coding with lua (C, C++), embedded C, MATLAB/Simulink, and QML for User Interface development, or experience coding in other similar languages.
- Experience in using tools such as GitHub, C/C++, lua, QML, JSON, Protobuf schema, Data analysis tools (Operation Center).
