OFP Quality Engineer
Davenport, IA – Full Time
Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Davenport, IA. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations. This includes the application of quality tools within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and Customer Support Process (CSP). Also support application of quality tools with key suppliers as an integral element of quality planning.
This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.
Duties:
- Support factory operation for our Fabrication departments.
- Respond to process and part quality issues to ensure robust and effective delivery of high-quality products to the vehicle lines.
- Containment, short-term corrective actions, root cause analysis, and driving for permanent long-term corrective actions and mistake proofing.
- Maintain and update quality documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment are critical for success in this position.
Requirements:
- Ability to communicate with the floor and with management.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects following the problem resolution methodology.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- 1+ year of experience.
- Factory environment experience or previous experience working in an engineering discipline.
Preferred:
- Engineering Degree, any discipline.
