Hydraulic and Hose Routing Support Specialist

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Goodfield, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be a Hydraulic and Hose Routing Support Specialist. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the design, layout, and implementation of hydraulic and large hose routing systems on agricultural equipment. This position requires someone with strong hands-on experience and working knowledge of hydraulic systems, hose routing practices, and mechanical assembly. The ideal candidate will collaborate with design engineers, technicians, and assembly teams to ensure efficient and serviceable hose installations across various platforms.

 

Duties:

  • Provide technical support for hydraulic and large-diameter hose routings on agricultural machinery.
  • Assist in reviewing and validating hose paths, mounting brackets, and clamping solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure routings meet functionality, safety, and serviceability standards.
  • Support prototype builds, test installations, and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Document routing feedback, installation practices, and improvement opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with onsite assembly and service teams to resolve routing challenges in real-time.
  • Review CAD models and drawings to verify fit and feasibility

 

Requirements:

  • Relevant technical training, Associate's degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in hydraulics, mechanics, or fluid systems.
  • 3+ years of experience working with hydraulic hose routing or assembly in an agricultural, industrial, or heavy equipment environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and routing schematics.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic fittings, hose specifications, and clamping methods.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Goodfield, IL preferred; hybrid arrangements may be considered.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with prototype builds or supporting engineering teams during development phases.
  • Familiarity with CNH equipment or similar OEM agricultural platforms.
  • Basic CAD knowledge or ability to interact with digital models (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks).
