Our client is a privately owned German company with an established subsidiary in the greater Charlotte, NC area. Renowned for offering a wide selection of high-quality fans and blowers, they serve the ventilation and air conditioning industry as well as various equipment cooling applications. Their dedicated staff provides expert technical support, application engineering, and exceptional customer service to ensure ongoing satisfaction and success.
We are looking for a REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, the position is located in the Charlotte, NC area (in-office when not traveling)
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the sales and promotion of the company’s product lines and products
- Collect market, customer and competitive information and identify new opportunities in current markets and potential new markets
- Acquire new customers
- Maintain good relationships with customers
- Prepare quotations (incl. lead time, terms of delivery and payment, cost and margin calculation)
- Make sales calls
- Provide technical support and consulting
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Technical Support at the factories
- Manage a network of representatives and distributors
- Provide technical training for reps and distributors
- Participate in marketing events (i.e. trade shows)
- Handle and help resolve claims, including performing electronic and mechanical testing
Education and Experience:
- Solid technical background in dealing with electro-mechanical products, HVAC if possible, but not necessary; Engineering Degree (BSME) if possible, but not necessary
- 5 years+ of related experience and proven successful technical sales experience in the air conditioning industry or a related industry.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to establish relationships with people.
- Ability to multitask and to work independently.
- Good training and presentation skills to make formal presentations.
- Experience in relationship building with customers, distributors, manufacturing reps, end-users, as well as other distribution channels.
- Must have good judgment, common sense, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must be willing to travel 15-20% of the time.
