Vice President, Sales & Marketing

Location: Midwest U.S. (Hybrid/On-site)

Company: Confidential German Manufacturer

Our client, a well-established German industrial manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Sales & Marketing to lead and scale its Midwest U.S. subsidiary. This executive will own the full commercial strategy across North America, driving revenue growth, strengthening market positioning, and building a high-performing sales and marketing organization.

The ideal candidate brings strong industrial B2B experience, a proven record of building teams and channels, and the ability to operate effectively within a German-headquartered, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Growth

·      Develop and execute the North American sales and marketing strategy aligned with global objectives.

·      Drive sustainable revenue growth across direct and channel sales.

·      Identify new market opportunities, verticals, and strategic partnerships.

·      Own forecasting, pipeline health, and revenue performance.

Sales Leadership

·      Lead, coach, and scale the U.S. sales organization.

·      Optimize territory structure, key account strategy, and channel coverage.

·      Establish performance metrics and accountability across the team.

·      Personally engage in executive-level customer relationships and key deals.

Marketing & Brand Positioning

·      Build and execute integrated marketing programs to support growth.

·      Strengthen brand awareness in the North American market.

·      Oversee digital marketing, trade shows, product launches, and lead generation.

·      Ensure strong alignment between marketing and sales execution.

Channel & Key Account Management

·      Develop and expand the distributor and partner network.

·      Strengthen relationships with strategic OEM and key accounts.

·      Implement channel performance management and enablement programs.

Operational & Cross-Functional Leadership

·      Partner closely with German headquarters on strategy, reporting, and alignment.

·      Drive CRM discipline, sales analytics, and performance reporting.

·      Collaborate with operations, engineering, and product management.

·      Build scalable processes to support continued U.S. growth.

 

Required Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering or Business preferred; MBA is a plus.

·      12–15+ years of progressive B2B sales leadership experience in industrial, engineered products, or capital equipment.

·      Proven success leading regional or national sales organizations.

·      Strong experience with distributor/channel-driven sales models.

·      Track record of driving measurable revenue growth.

·      Experience working within European or German-headquartered companies strongly preferred.

·      Willingness to travel domestically (and occasional international travel).
