Job Description
Director International Sales
The role of the Director International Sales is to manage the company's business in
the United States. You will be responsible for identifying the business potential for
the company's brands and creating strategies and tactics to penetrate the U.S.
market.
What you will be doing:
- You will identify the business potential for the Company brands. Create
strategies and tactics to penetrate the U.S. market.
- Manage, assess, and guide sales managers and distributors to represent
Company brands across the United States.
- You will work with the German HQ to determine the right product mix for the
U.S. market.
- You understand U.S. regulatory and legal requirements.
- You will establish pricing that reflects all sales, marketing, and distribution costs
- Together with the company’s sales force, you will grow distribution in big-box stores
as well as brick-and-mortar stores
- You help create advertising, consumer education, merchandising, and
promotional programming to drive consumer sales.
- You will develop the annual budget, sales plan, and monthly and quarterly forecasts.
- You will communicate regularly with the HQ in Germany and report business performance,
identify and communicate opportunities
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years in international and/or national U.S. Sales and marketing experience within
the baked goods, snacking goods, and/or food industry
- Very strong communication and leadership ability
- Experience in working with and communicating with a European HQ’s
- Background and experience in managing cross-functional groups, sales, marketing,
procurement, and manufacturing
- A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, an MBA a nice to have
- Willing to travel 50%
- Willing to manage from the NJ office when not traveling
