Responsibilities:


The Senior Brightree Revenue Cycle Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate billing, compliance, and operational efficiency within our HME/DME operations. This position requires immediate proficiency in Brightree EHR and advanced modules, with no ramp-up time.


Key responsibilities include:


Billing Lifecycle Management:

  • Initial billing and claim submission
  • Rebill and correction processes
  • Rejection clearance and troubleshooting
  • Appeals management for denied claims
  • Secondary and tertiary billing across multiple payers


Brightree Expertise:

  • Configure and manage workflows in Brightree
  • Leverage DX-Text Campaign and DX-eForms modules for automated SMS consent and electronic signature capture
  • Ensure compliance with CMS and Hawaii Medicaid (Quest) requirements for Proof of Delivery (POD)


Automation & Compliance:

  • Implement HIPAA-compliant SMS opt-in protocols
  • Maintain pre-configured eForms templates for POD documentation
  • Drive efficiency with 90%+ automation—eliminating manual printing, scanning, and chasing signatures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure billing accuracy and compliance
  • Provide guidance on best practices for Brightree workflows and reporting


Qualifications/Skills:


Non-Negotiable:

  • Deep, demonstrated operational knowledge of Brightree in HME/DME billing
  • Experience with DX-Text and DX-eForms modules
  • Ability to manage claims end-to-end without ramp-up time
  • Minimum 3–5 years in DME/HME billing and collections
  • Strong understanding of CMS guidelines, HIPAA compliance, and Medicaid billing
  • Ability to troubleshoot claim rejections and manage appeals quickly
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills


Education Requirements:

  • Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Acceptable Alternative: Equivalent work experience (3–5+ years) in DME/HME billing and Brightree system operations.
