Responsibilities:

The Revenue Cycle Specialist – Medicare/CMS will manage end-to-end billing and collections for Medicare/CMS claims in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires strong knowledge of infusion therapy or specialty pharmacy billing and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities include:

• Accurate and timely submission of Medicare/CMS claims
• Research and resolve denied or unpaid claims; manage appeals
• Handle secondary claims and patient co-pay collections
• Perform payment posting and reconcile accounts
• Monitor A/R aging reports and initiate follow-ups
• Communicate effectively with patients, insurers, and internal teams
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations

Qualifications/Skills:

Non-Negotiable:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections
• Strong understanding of Medicare/CMS billing guidelines
• Experience with infusion therapy or specialty pharmacy preferred
• Proficiency in billing software and EHR systems
• Ability to work independently and manage workload autonomously

Education Requirements:

• Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
• Acceptable Alternative: Equivalent work experience (2+ years) in medical billing and A/R
