You’ll walk alongside patients in homes, care facilities, or hospice settings, honoring their beliefs and traditions while providing the warmth of human connection when it’s needed most. It’s about listening deeply, meeting people where they are, and making a difference in ways that often can’t be measured—but will always be remembered.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

  • Offer spiritual counseling and emotional support to patients and loved ones
  • Lead prayers, rituals, or readings when requested, respecting all faiths and traditions
  • Partner with the interdisciplinary team to provide truly holistic, patient-centered care
  • Provide bereavement support to families and help coordinate memorial services
  • Keep clear and compassionate documentation of visits and spiritual assessments


What You Bring

  • A Master’s degree in Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Counseling, or related field (preferred)
  • Hospice, palliative care, or healthcare chaplaincy experience (strongly preferred)
  • Ordination or endorsement from a recognized faith group
  • A listening heart, calm presence, and excellent communication skills
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach patients wherever they are
